Scotty's House Welcomes Six New Volunteers to Its Team!

On Friday, February 19th, Scotty's House welcomed six new Family Care Coordinator Volunteers to its team! These new Volunteers completed eight hours of specialized training to provide services to the children and families that visit Scotty's House. Family Care Coordinator Volunteers welcome clients and their non-offending family members to Scotty’s House and appropriately interact with families to provide comfort and support while maintaining client confidentiality. Family Care Coordinators provide supervision for clients of Scotty’s House in a fun, child friendly playroom and playground setting. In addition, these Volunteers also provide supervision for clients at counseling sessions, as well as play therapy support for our counselors.

Our new graduates are Deborah Harper, J'wan Petitjean, Catherine Morris,
Brittnie Bartlett, Melissa Harris and Meredyth Brown.

Scotty's House Volunteers are a vital part of our agency's mission. If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer with Scotty's House, please call Melanie at 979.775.4695 or send an email to scottyshouse@ymail.com.
